Let's eliminate distances with digital

BORGHI CONNESSI is WINDTRE's sustainability project which aims to accompany the growth of small Italian municipalities thanks to connectivity and smart technologies.

The initiative is part of the ten objectives of the company's sustainability plan, and of its commitment to promoting greater inclusion in Internet access and contributing to reducing the territorial, economic, cultural and demographic digital divide in the country.

The project, in addition to enhancing existing infrastructures, pays particular attention to the growth of greater digital culture and awareness in small municipalities, and to the development of initiatives that benefit the community. In particular, through:

- TRAINING for young people and seniors on digital tools and opportunities, with the NeoConnessi and NeoConnessi Silver projects;
- ASSISTANCE to entrepreneurs and small traders to contribute to the management and growth of their business;
- SPECIFIC INTERVENTIONS with municipal administrators to facilitate relations with the population and improve connectivity in the area;
- INNOVATIVE SERVICES to the community, such as those to attract Smart Workers from all over the world;

Alberto Pietromarchi, International Wholesale, Wholebuy & Operations Manager WINDTRE, states:

“our company works on specific training projects aimed at entrepreneurs and local administrators, but also at young people and seniors. In fact, with the NeoConnessi Silver project, WINDTRE provides the elderly people of the village with advice and useful tools to make access to web services easier and to prepare people for the challenges of digitalisation".
