Digital and sustainable urban transformation

We support the digital and sustainable urban transformation of Italian cities with the Smart City project.

Big data analytics and IoT, supported by the 5G network and digital technologies, are enabling factors not only for businesses but also for the urban transformation of Italian cities and for many of the services capable of improving the environment and the health of citizens.

These are the main application areas of the services offered by WINDTRE, thanks to the data collected by the 5G network:

- smart and sustainable tourism;

- intelligent, public and private mobility and analysis of parking availability;

- mass communication systems;

- monitoring and management of energy consumption;

- environmental monitoring and waste management;

- security in the area and smart lighting;

Thanks to the wealth of technical knowledge in mobile data transport, WINDTRE supports local administrations in the transition of municipalities towards smart and sustainable cities.

Furthermore, as part of the Smart City project, WINDTRE has launched the "Smart City Transformation Academy", a training course dedicated to PAs through which it intends to delve into topics such as digital communication, energy efficiency, big data analytics, internet of things, energy communities and so on.
