Smart working has always been a tool at WINDTRE for promoting the balance between personal life and work time. During the pandemic in 2020, it was extended to cover around 90% of the company’s workforce. In this context, smart working evolved into a true new way of working, laying the foundation for a model that supports not only the company's growth but also the well-being of its people—bringing the concept of work-life balance and the right to disconnect to life.

People’s well-being, active participation in change, and the importance of listening led to a smart working model built on the company’s core values - COURAGE, RESPONSIBILITY, TRUST, INCLUSION - fully aligned with WINDTRE’s purpose WE EXIST TO ELIMINATE ALL DISTANCE BETWEEN PEOPLE.

The Steps Toward Our Human Working Model

The model was born from a journey that began during the pandemic and was carried forward thanks to the active participation and attentive listening to our people. From the very beginning, we adopted an integrated approach, aimed at activating all the key levers needed to support both our people and the organization through change.

Among these levers: a new behavioral model, performance management, training, communication, engagement, we-etiquette, and enablement. This holistic approach proved to be a winning strategy and was recognized by the Top Employers Institute as one of the best HR practices in Italy.
